CHURCH HALL

The Church Hall was built in 2009 and offers modern and spacious facilities, including:- 

  • A main hall measuring 14.3m (47ft) by 9m (30ft) with a sprung wood floor, ideal for dancing. 
  • A fitted kitchen 
  • Entrance Hall with toilet facilities ·
  • Car parking
  • Full accessibility (no steps, ramps etc)
  • Hearing loop 

It is available for hire by charities and groups providing benefit to the community and by individuals for private functions. 

The Hall is owned and run by The Parochial Church Council of St James the Deacon (the PCC) for the benefit of the Church and the local Community.

HALL ACTIVITIES

A wide range of activities that take place in the Hall each week including Yoga, Pilates, Karate, Drama, Crafts, Singing for the Brain, Dementia Yorkshire, Brownies. Toddler Sense.

THE HALL IS AVAILABLE for hire
Monday to Saturday: 8 am – 10 pm,
Sunday: 12 noon – 9.30 pm.

CHECKING AVAILABILITY
You can check when the Hall is available on the Calendar.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU PAY?
The current rate for hire of the Hall is £19/hour. 

WHEN DO YOU PAY?
The full payment is due at the time of booking. If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the date of hire, a refund will be given.
Regular group users will be allowed to pay monthly.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Bookings will be accepted on the understanding that the Hirer has read and accepts the Terms & Conditions of Hire

ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING
We will confirm receipt and acceptance of the booking which will remain provisional until payment has been received.

WHEN YOU USE THE HALL PLEASE…

BE CONSIDERATE TO OUR NEIGHBOURS
This is a residential area and we want to be good neighbours. When you use the Hall:

  • Don’t play music loud enough to be heard outside the Hall.
  • Don’t park cars across anybody’s driveway.
  • Leave the premises quietly, particularly in the evenings

BE CONSIDERATE TO THE NEXT USER
The next user will expect to find the Hall as you did, so please leave the Hall in the state you found it:

  • Clean and tidy
  • Tables and chairs arranged as you found them
  • All rubbish IS removed from the premises. 

BE CONSIDERATE TO YOURSELVES
We would like you to enjoy your use of the Hall safely and therefore ask that all users:

  • Observe any Health and Safety notices
  • Take care when using kitchen equipment.
